Last July, 2024 Mary Terp (Jankowski)'64 passed away.  Mary was my roommate and although we only saw each other a few times after she moved to Michigan we kept in touch.

Mary Jankowski of Southfield, Michigan. Age 81. Died peacefully Monday morning on July 22, 2024.

Mary was the beloved wife of Chester "Chet" Jankowski for sixty wonderful years and loving mother of Leigh Ann. Mary is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.

Sadly, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Michael (d.2015).

Mary, a graduate of New Paltz State University, was an artist, educator and enjoyed traveling. Mary started her career as an art teacher and more recently as a teacher of special needs students at the Wing Lake Developmental Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 7:00 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Directors (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) 32515 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak. The Jankowski family will receive extended family & friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

WE MOURN THE PASSING OF MARILYN SAGER SMITH

Janice Oehler heard from the daughter of Marilyn Sager Smith (Class of 1960) that her mom passed away at the age of 86.

 

Marilyn worked as an Elementary School teacher in Walden, NY and later retired to Haines City, FL. She was actively involved in hospice and was a retired volunteer at its Visitor’s Information Center. She left behind 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. A life well lived!
